DMSCO ISO 9001:2000 certification covers both arms of activities in DMSCO (Al Dawaa chain of pharmacies and Al Dawaa Medical Services Company for Sales and Marketing) as well as the companys offices and warehouses across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
DMSCO is suspected to both internal and external quality auditing for monitoring the effectiveness of its quality management system application as well as for ensuring the continual improvement achievement
Internal quality auditing is periodically done by well trained and certified members from the company; it is a Systematic, independent and documented process for obtaining audit evidence and evaluating the application of the quality system objectively.
External auditing or surveillance auditing is usually done every year from the TUV / NORD Company, Germany to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the quality management system application, it also audit for the commitment of company management of QMS application
This surveillance audit was done in May 2007 for DMSCO and the auditing report was satisfactory and proved that the company quality management system application and its efficacy are going in the right direction.
There is an annual management review meeting for the quality progress during the previous year and how to improve the company system in the coming year. These meetings study the recorded non conformances and take corrective actions to overcome these non conformances. The main point of discussion in such meetings is how to improve both types of company customers' satisfaction, internal company customers (company employees) as well as external company customers' satisfaction is measured and improved every year.
