Established in 1994 by one of the directors, and then announced in 2001 as a limited liability company, DMSCO (AL-Dawaa Medical Services Co. Ltd.) is now a forerunning medical company in Saudi Arabia with two main business areas; namely DMSCO Sales & Marketing and AL-Dawaa Pharmacies. The company management and headquarters are located in AL Khobar.
DMSCO sales and marketing division is further divided into:
- Medical and pharmaceutical subdivision - focusing on serving health-care professionals.
- DMSCO consumer subdivision - focusing on serving the ultimate consumer at hypermarkets and supermarkets. There are 3 different offices for this division strategically located in Dammam, Riyadh and Jeddah. This division consists of a highly professional team committed to achieving maximum customer satisfaction as well as providing superior quality products and advanced services all over the Kingdom.
AL-Dawaa Group of Pharmacies consists of 171 pharmacies and is the leading pharmaceutical chain in the Eastern and Northern Province. In addition to its dominance of the market, it has also been rated by customers to be the best among leading competitors with regards to customer service, location, product availability and qualified professional pharmacists.
DMSCOs earnings for 2006 were roughly 100 million US dollars. Huge growth is anticipated year by year, mainly due to the commitment and foresight of executive management.
