Al Dawaa Chain of Pharmacies as a division of DMSCO is applying the highest Quality Management System (QMS) standards in allover its activities. DMSCO Quality Management System is built on the corporate mission and vision which are stated in the company quality policy.
Al Dawaa Chain of Pharmacies objectives are usually allocated every year to achieve the corporate goals which are extracted from the company quality policy
DMSCO has a well defined and implemented organizational chart that defines the responsibilities of each member in the company; it identifies the way of communication between company members as well as the reporting direction.
Al Dawaa Chain of Pharmacies has a standard job profile for each job in the company; based on these profiles recruitments are applied to ensure that each personnel is fit for his job
Al Dawaa Chain of Pharmacies is applying internationally standard and controlled procedures descriptions for each activity; it is supported by standard formats used. DMSCO quality management system application is enriched by using of the recent external references and documents to achieve the highest quality services.In addition there are standard guidelines as a reference for each pharmacist.

Al Dawaa Chain of Pharmacies is suspected to both internal and external quality auditing for monitoring the effectiveness of its quality management system application as well as for ensuring the continual improvement achievement.
Internal quality auditing is periodically done by well trained and certified members from the company.
External auditing or surveillance auditing as ISO 9001:2000 Certified Company is usually done every year from the TUV / NORD Company, Germany to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the quality management system application, it also audit for the commitment of company management of QMS application
The last surveillance audit was done in May 2007 and the auditing report was satisfactory and proved that Al Dawaa Chain of Pharmacies quality management system application and its efficacy are going in the right direction.
There is an annual management review meeting for the quality progress during the previous year and how to improve the company system in the coming year.
These meetings study the recorded non conformances and take corrective actions to overcome these non conformances.
The main point of discussion in such meetings is how to improve both types of company customers' satisfaction, internal company customers (company employees) as well as external company customers' satisfaction is measured and improved every year. |
