Etoricoxib is an NSAID that acts as an analgesic, anti-inflammatory & antipyretic used to treat multiple diseases
Etoricoxib is a selective inhibitor of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), which is responsible for prostaglandin synthesis, an integral part of the pain and inflammation pathway.

Etoricoxib helps to reduce the pain and swelling (inflammation) in the joints and muscles of people 16 years of age and older with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and gout.
Etoricoxib is also used for the short-term treatment of moderate pain after dental surgery in people 16 years of age and older.

The recommended dose is one capsule/tablet or as directed by the physician
Etoricoxib is for adults only; it is not for use in children.
Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

You are being treated for an infection. This medicine can mask or hide a fever, which is a sign of infection.
You have diabetes, high cholesterol, or are a smoker. These can increase your risk of heart disease.
You are a woman trying to become pregnant.
You are over 65 years of age.
