Filgrastim stimulates the bone marrow to produce more neutrophils. Helps in reducing the risk of infections in chemotherapy patients.

Administered as a subcutaneous injection
Dosage is based on the patient's condition.
Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

Engage in moderate, consistent exercise which can stimulate the production of white blood cells.
Limit exposure to infectious agents. Practice good hygiene and avoid crowded places during flu seasons.
Stay hydrated as dehydration can reduce the white blood cell count.
Avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption as both can depress the immune system.
Regular medical check-ups to monitor white blood cell counts.
Be cautious with raw foods which can carry bacteria that reduce white cell count.

Store in the refrigerator, 2°C to 8°C.
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Store in the original package to protect it from moisture.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the box/blisters/label. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
